Freelance SEO Expert Gets New Google Profile

For too long, I've avoided creating a profile in Google for various reasons. But I just found out that they are giving free business cards away to Google profile members, so I figured I'll capitalize on that. I don't get too personal in my profile. It was mainly built to support my theme; Freelance SEO Expert.

You can check it out if you like. I'll revisit it in the near future and make it a little bit more robust. But for now, let's put some age on it and give it a link.

A San Diego SEO Company on Merchant Circle

Another great place to submit your local company is Merchant Circle. Yes, there are 1,000's if not millions of places to submit your business to for a listing, but there's something special about Merchant Circle. It's like the Yellow Page, mixed with MySpace but with a twist. Businesses can now mingle and network via a social network and we don't have anything to worry about because we all understand that we're companies trying to make a living, friend and/or a buck. Hey guys, I'm on Twitter now. I recommend following me because I'll be shedding a lot of light on what I do here in San Diego and in SEO. I'll share link building tips, talk about keywords, list local events in San Diego and much, much more. I'm new to twitter, so bare with me if you send me a direct message. I never gave Twitter a chance in the past because I never seen the SEO capabilities behind it. But even though it's not that great for SEO, it's great for traffic just like Facebook is good for traffic and useless for SEO.

But I am starting to see some twitter SEO possibilities and how twitter can improve your rankings...

Link Building Video About Anchor Text & Reporting

Here's a video brought to you by California SEO; SEO by the Hour . :) Learn the importance of back links in order to dominate the search engines from a real link building expert. Link building is a very important search engine marketing factor to consider.

Link Building Expert Article - Backlink Building Tips

I just wrote an article titled "Link Building Tips for Obtaining Relevant Backlinks" in order to give a quick overall of a typical strategic and planned-out link building campaign. I cover various link building issues from what types of links you need, why you need them and some ways to obtain them. The main point of this article was to create a link titled "link building expert" that could possibly have the chance to be mass reproduced. (hence the title of this post and the anchor text to the article; relevance)

Here's a snippet of my link building article.

- Contact other webmasters and let them know about your site. These webmasters should be websites in your industry with a lot of visitors
- Notify forums. Every industry has forums. Letting visitors that participate in these forums know about your site can generate buzz.
- Find blogs in your industry with huge RSS subscribers. Ask them to review your site. Normally all their visitors/commentators will review your site as well.
- Convert all your text content to podcast using text to voice software (Or you can record someone reading it). Then submit your podcast to podcast directories.

Kate Sessions Park in San Diego, CA

About 4 or 5 days of the week, my girlfriend and I take our little french bulldogs to Kate Sessions Park. We just let them loose and they run around with the biggest smiles on their faces. The park is actually not a leash free park, but if you go after 5/5:30 (after the rangers have left) you can let your dog loose to play with all the other dogs.

Here's a video of Kate Sessions' large grass field. It's perfect to us and our dogs.

SEO Footer Links at the Bottom of My Blog

Right now I'm acting a little insane, creating web site after website. After discovering easier ways to get to the top of the SERP's, I decided to put what I know to the test and created about 10 websites targeting the toughest terms. I have no real plan for these rankings so this high-targeted-keyword campaign may not last long.

So to be honest with all my readers, I'm only keeping this blog up because I created in 2005 and it seems that Google recognizes all of its outbound links. I was talking about SEO then and I'll continue to talk about SEO now. I may even start posting more since it seems like every time I create a post, every page I'm linking to gets another backlink, FAST!

It's funny how much I've learned since 2004/2005. But it's also funny to see how much I've always known.

I've always known that the more keyword rich links I get pointing to me, the better my rankings will be. But over time you learn which links count and how links are evaluated.

My footer links: At the bottom of this blog, I have footer links that link to web 2.0 profiles created. I bookmarked many of my SEO pages in these profiles, that's why I labeled the links the way I did. But those links wont count for anything if Google can't find them or if no one else finds that page your link is on interesting.

So with this aged sub-domain (within blogger) that seems to somewhat have a little trust, I linked to my profiles linking to my other pages. This is a mild form of link tunneling. It helps Google find my links and it also helps verify my links. The real question is how much does it take to finally show up here? I'm GUESSING either

• Certain amount of times the bots passes through a link to that page.
  
• Certain amount of links it must past through to find that page.
  
• Certain length of time from the first time Google found it.

Like I said I'm guessing.
